The truth in every picture lies in its fiction.
Hidden between the lines, beyond what we see, lies the quintessential ‘human nature’ we call perception. And that is the art of telling stories.
Motion picture, like art, compounds this to multiple dimensions. Perception of the image, perception of the montage, perception of the sound, perception of the experience, perception of the subtext, perception of the context, perception of how each one of us view the world and yet the perception of none of it at all.
As a cinematographer, it intrigues and inspires me at the same time. Makes me want to look at it, more.
Be it a brand story, a music video, a documentary or a fiction, there is always some truth in it but not without its fiction.
